Abstract (50)
This is the general section for abstract photographs. That includes macro photography, still life, unusual objects or unusual angles on them, and so forth, where the emphasis of the photograph is on that subject. |

Architecture (19)
This section is for all architecturally interesting Irish buildings, including churches, houses, lighthouses, bridges, and so forth, where the emphasis of the photograph is on that subject. (See also Travel section) |

General (34)
This section is for all photographs which don’t naturally fit into any of the other sections. |

Landscape (62)
This section is for Irish landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and all “scenic” photography, where the photograph does not have a significant emphasis on anything that belongs in the other sections such as sport, wildlife, etc. (See also Travel section) |

Models (1095)
This section is for all photographs of models. It includes portraits, fashion, glamour and art nude. Photographs of models shot at a magazine level or of a pornographic nature are not permitted in this section. Minority themes such as bondage/fetish, male nudity, etc, are only to be submitted after careful consideration, and should not be material that provokes complaints from other members. Uploading of illegal material is totally prohibited. |

People (65)
This section is for all photography of people where the photographs are not appropriate for the models’ section. This includes weddings, children, celebrities, old people, and so forth, where the emphasis of the photograph is on that subject. (See also Travel section) |

Sport (4)
This section is for all types of sporting photographs. (Please observe the current legislation which prohibits taking and displaying sporting photographs of schoolchildren without the permission of the child’s parents or guardian.) |

Travel (11)
This section is for all interesting non-Irish photography. Photographs submitted for this section may include landscapes, architecture, people, etc, but should be of a travel magazine standard and style rather than a family holiday standard and style - no “My mate at the hotel/beach/market/pub/etc” photographs! |

Wildlife (57)
This is the general section for nature photographs. That includes animals, flowers, trees, and so forth, where the emphasis of the photograph is on that subject. |
